Walks Himself

This original 5x7 drawing was created by hand using my signature dip nib and black ink on 300gsm archival paper. I then mounted the finished drawing to cradled wood using matte gel medium and sealed the piece with a satin varnish.

“Walks Himself” is a strange little dog character built from exaggerated shapes, stretched features and layered linework. Hidden faces and small characters are worked throughout the drawing, so there is always something new to notice the closer you look.
