Stands With Long Face

This original 5x7 drawing was created by hand using my signature dip nib and black ink on 300gsm archival paper. I then mounted the finished drawing to cradled wood using matte gel medium and sealed the piece with a satin varnish.

“Stands With Long Face” is a tall, serious looking character with an exaggerated profile, layered clothing and plenty of strange little details worked throughout the drawing. Hidden faces and characters are tucked into the linework and start showing up the longer you look.
