Jester’s Privilege

This original 5x7 drawing was created by hand using my signature dip nib and black ink on 300gsm archival paper. I then mounted the finished drawing to cradled wood using matte gel medium and sealed the piece with a satin varnish.

“Jester’s Privilege” has the look of an old court fool, with an exaggerated face, strange hat shapes and dangling details that give him a slightly theatrical feel. Hidden faces and characters are worked throughout the drawing and start to reveal themselves the longer you look.
