Sleeps Past Noon

This original 5x7 drawing was created by hand using my signature dip nib and black ink on 300gsm archival paper. I then mounted the finished drawing to cradled wood using matte gel medium and sealed the piece with a satin varnish.

“Sleeps Past Noon” is a tall character with an exaggerated profile, layered clothing and a quiet, slightly worn-out expression. Hidden faces and strange little characters are worked throughout the drawing and begin to reveal themselves the longer you look.
