Talks to Birds

This original 5x7 drawing was created by hand using my signature dip nib and black ink on 300gsm archival paper. I then mounted the finished drawing to cradled wood using matte gel medium and sealed the piece with a satin varnish.

“Talks to Birds” is a tall, strange character with an oversized headpiece and layered features that seem to turn into new faces as you look around the drawing. Hidden characters are worked throughout the linework, giving the piece more to discover up close.
